In the heart
of Brussels

This house is located near the Square Ambiorix, a beautiful green area, and is therefor a great place to live. You'll find wonderful public gardens and many walking paths; there's also a large fountain and 19th century sculptures. It's no wonder that many EU people live in this district. The rest of the city is also very easily accessibly. Metro Schuman takes a 10 minutes' walk from the house or you can take the bike to discover the neighbourhood.

Brussels city

If living in the thick of it all is irresistible then downtown is the place for you. In recent years, previously run-down parts of the centre have become a magnet for young professionals, with major renovations and industrial spaces coming up for rent or sale. Sought-after areas are St Géry, Ste Catherine and the rue Antoine Dansaert area leading up to the canal, where old warehouses have been converted into popular loft apartments. The traditionally cheaper, working-class Marolles is becoming increasingly popular with a young urban set. The Sablon and Louise are fabulously upmarket but that is, naturally, reflected in price. What you get in return is a raft of art galleries, antique shops and stylish cafes.

Near the Square Ambiorix, there are many great restaurants for all kind of food lovers. Meet Meat Schuman is one of the best steakhouses in the neighbourhood and is also known for its fantastic wines. What more can you ask for? If you are more into Italian cuisine, go to Il Viticolo, a restaurant much appreciated by locals. For Portuguese or Spanish specialties, Tiago's is where you have to be. Les Caprices d'Harmony is also very popular for its French and Belgian dishes and Rock Salt Chilli Peppers offers a world fusion kitchen combined with great cocktails. Whatever your food preferences are, in the Ambiorix district, you'll definitely find a restaurant that can charm you!

Brussels is a municipality of contrasts with enormous diversity when it comes to places of interest and things to do. Below we've listed a few of those sights from museums & monuments to parks & points of interest. Although this list is by no means exhaustive, we feel it represents a genuine sampling of the diversity Brussels has to offer travelers. After all, you've got to start somewhere.

Meet Maxime

Digital Marketer - 23 years old

“I was skeptical at first because it was my first time in a house share. The great thing about Cohabs is that the houses are really designed to help us connect between members. On top of that, each place comes with a wide range of free benefits such as a housekeeper, Spotify & Netflix. ”

Meet Grégoire

Meet Anu

“Our house feels like a home away from home. The owners make an effort to create a cozy, social and environmentally responsible living environment where you can relax with your housemates after work, hang out with friends or simply enjoy the privacy of your own space.”
